What We Do
The Simsbury Garden Club is involved in a number of activities and community projects that enrich the lives of our members as well as benefit our local community.
Club members enjoy gardening and horticultural workshops, demonstrations, and informative programs. Trips to gardens and places of horticultural interest are offered during the year. Check our Calendar for meeting and event dates.
General Meetings, unless otherwise noted, are held at the Apple Barn, 60 Old Farms Rd, West Simsbury. Meetings usually feature a speaker.
SIMSBURY GARDENS
The Simsbury Garden Club maintains gardens at Simsbury Meadows, the town farm and the Simsbury Historical Society.
Floral Design
Workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions are held to promote interest and skill in flower arranging. Members are encouraged to participate in flower shows as well as develop their skills in arranging for their own enjoyment. The workshops include something for everyone – beginner, intermediate and advanced.
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
The Club enjoys being part of the Simsbury community and holds a spring plant sale or garden tour, makes holiday wreaths for town buildings, gives scholarships to local students, and participates in flower shows.
